As a model you need to be beautiful, certainly, but also fit and healthy, with clear skin, and be able to take good care of yourself. You’ll also need to be adaptable, reliable and responsible to yourself and others. The best model is one who can bring personality and spark to a photo shoot. Beware of unscrupulous “agencies” that ask for money up front or ask you to pay for building your portfolio. They will take your money and give you nothing in return. We will only accept you as a client if we believe we can book you. We pay all expenses for your portfolio. You pay nothing. The only way we profit is if we get you work (we take a commission of just 10%). Remember; never pay an agency for your own photographs.
Once a model has built a portfolio they usually start booking at $150 per hour. Experienced models in the area can make as much as $500 per hour.
